On October 21, on the eve of the seminar on modern technologies of soil cooperation and crop convenience, a meeting was held with graduates of the faculty, namely the Department of Agriculture, Soil Science and Agrochemistry. Work in the field continues, the covid is advancing, and three of the invited graduates have joined forces with master’s students, bachelors, and graduate students online.
Oleksandr Derevyanchenko is currently a head of the agronomic examination department of the Continental Farmers Group. It is an international investment company operating in the Western Ukraine region, attracting the best professionals and best practices in agricultural production. The assets of the companies are 195 thousand hectares in 5 oblasts of Western Ukraine. Mr. Oleksandr told us about the peculiarities of his work in the company, emphasizing which specialists the agricultural sector is currently waiting for, what you need to pay attention to when passing educational programs in agronomy.
Oleksandr Antonovsky is a Deputy Director for Crop Production of «Progress» LLC, Varvynsky District, Chernihiv Region. The bank of land in the farm is 2.0 thousand hectares, mainly work aimed at growing cereals, legumes and oilseeds. This year, the yield of corn is at the level of 13 t / ha, so Alexander told about his research areas to study the methods of basic tillage and fertilizer, outlined the method of laying field experiments in terms of spatial heterogeneity of fields. Anton Barabanov is a distributor of plant protection products and seeds, «Agroros» LLC, but this is not his first position in the distribution, behind the shoulders – the Institute of Soil Protection, Institute of Agriculture of the Northeast NAASU. Knowing English at the B2 level, he reads a lot of foreign literature and brings modern research methods to agricultural production and tries to maximize the benefits of its products to customers of his company. He strongly recommends graduate students first find an idea, consider whether a farmer can buy it, and then start their experiments.
