The in vitro biotechnological educational and research laboratory operates with the aim of broadly involving scientific and pedagogical staff and students of all levels of the university in conducting basic research and carrying out applied developments in priority areas of scientific and innovative activities.
Laboratory research is carried out in the following areas:
- creation of virus-free planting material;
- isolation and cultivation of meristems in combination with thermo- and chemotherapy;
- optimization of individual processes in in vitro culture
- in vitro plant adaptation
- obtaining viable seedlings, microbulbs and minibulbs of healthy potatoes
- the factors influencing the increase in the reproduction rate are studied in the field
- the use of growth regulators and obtaining the maximum amount of standard seed fraction of the first tuber reproduction from plants in vitro when using drip irrigation
- determination of the composition of the substrate and the content of nutrients in the solution for plant regeneration in vitro in terms of in vivo
- improvement of the method of obtaining mini-seedlings from plants in vitro
- highly efficient methods of propagation and production of various forms of healthy potatoes for reproduction of basic seed material according to abbreviated schemes
- storage conditions of healthy micro- and minibulbs to ensure high germination and germination energy in the year-round cycle of their production
- introduction of mechanized technology of planting and growing additional planting material based on micro- and minibulbs
The laboratory is a structural educational and scientific subdivision of the Faculty of Agrotechnologies and Environmental Use.
The main tasks of the laboratory are:
- conducting laboratory and practical classes with students of specialties 201 “Agronomy”, 202 “Plant protection and quarantine” at a high scientific, methodological and technical levels;
- assistance in the implementation of scientific work of students, graduate students and teachers;
- promoting the quality of training of specialists in agronomy and indoor vegetable growing through the implementation of practical and creative components of the content of education;
- systematic updating and improvement of the training and laboratory base, technical means of training, computerization and informatization of the educational process;
- creation of safe working conditions at workplaces in accordance with the requirements of current legislation;
The laboratory is located in the auditorium № 3. The teacher’s workplace is equipped with a demonstration table and a classroom board, a device for the use of technical teaching aids, etc. The laboratory is equipped with visual aids, technical teaching aids, drying cabinet, sectional cabinets for storing instruments, utensils, tools and educational equipment, a greenhouse for growing seedlings.
The laboratory operates on the squares and research and laboratory facilities of the university, has the appropriate material support. It promotes scientific seminars, scientific schools, scientific conferences, symposia and congresses, develops the necessary scientific and methodological materials for the educational process in accordance with current and future areas of educational and scientific work of the university.
