Profession and occupation: agronomy, selection and seed production, plant protection. Higher education; in 1977 he graduated from Bilotserkivskyi institute. The institute specializing in "agronomy", now the Bilotserk National Agrarian University; specialty by education - agronomist. The direction of scientific research: immunity of plants (wheat), Phytoexpertise of wheat seeds, selection and seeding of cereal grain crops.

Candidate of Agricultural Sciences since 1988 (diploma of SC No. 011481) senior researcher since 1996 (decision of the supreme administrative court of Ukraine; certificate no. 002808) specializing in breeding and seed production;
Doctor of Agricultural Sciences since 2008 (diploma DD No. 006912, Kyiv, October 8, 2008) in the specialty 06.01.05 - plant breeding, dissertation on the topic "Creation of source material for adaptive breeding and breeding of high-yielding wheat varieties in the conditions of the Forest Steppe of Ukraine" protected in the Breeding and Genetics Institute - National Center of Seed Science and Varietal Research (Odesa city);

Scientific innovations, achievements:
With the participation of Vlasenko V.A. 56 varieties of wheat were created, in particular: soft winter - Kryzhynka, Podolyanka, Zolotokolos and others; soft ravine - Elegy Myronivska, Struna Myronivska, Simcoda Myronivska and others; solid ravine - Isolde, Giselle, Diana. 49 copyright certificates for plant varieties and 9 patents were obtained for breeding developments. High-yielding, valuable and high-quality grains, bred in co-authorship, adapted to the conditions of the Forest-Steppe, and some wheat varieties to the conditions of the Polissia and Steppe of Ukraine, were introduced into the production of a total area of about 7 million hectares.
He is a member of the specialized academic council D 55.859.03 at the Sumy National Agrarian University. He is a member of the expert council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on dissertation examination. Member of the Industry Expert Council (20 – Agricultural Sciences, specialty 202 – Plant Protection and Quarantine) of the National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education (since 2019). Member of the expert group of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on issues of state certification of higher education institutions in the area of scientific (scientific and technical) activities in scientific fields (since 2020)
