The department has organized the work at the appropriate level in 28 sections, in which more than 1,300 students are systematically engaged.
Sports and health work in SNAU is organized by the Department of Physical Education by conducting the following activities:
- in accordance with the order of the rector and in accordance with the work plan of the department of sports and health – mass work at the university, teachers of the department, responsible for the faculties, together with the deputy deans for educational and organizational work hold competitions according to the program of SNAU contest among the national teams of the faculties;
- According to the calendar of sports and mass events of SNAU, the department annually holds a sports contest “Health” among teachers and staff of SNAU with the involvement of teachers of colleges of SNAU;
- university championship in general physical training;
- sports contest among students living in SNAU hostels;
- sports contest among first-year students;
- sports contest among students of SNAU colleges;
- demonstration sports performances during the “Knowledge Day” holiday;
- sports holiday dedicated to the Day of the worker of physical culture and sports;
- participation of the best athletes and teams of SNAU in city, regional, all-Ukrainian, international competitions.
Every year more than 3000 students, teachers and employees of our university take part in the listed events.
Material and technical base
The department is located in the sports complex of SNAU. It has 2 stadiums (2 football fields, 1 stadium with six treadmills) basketball, handball, volleyball, mini-football summer playgrounds, 2 playgrounds with non-standard equipment.
There is a hall for table tennis and athletic gymnastics, a game room, halls for fitness, shaping, exercise and wrestling, a chess club.
