- Musiyenko Serhiy Ivanovych was born on June 10, 1968, in the village of Popivka, Velikopysarivskyi raion, Sumy oblast.
- Education. 1993, National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, degree in "Forestry and landscape-park management", qualification: forest management engineer.
- Academic degree. He obtained the degree of Candidate of Agricultural Sciences in 2000. His dissertation was defended on January 19, 2000, at the specialized scientific council D 26.004.09 at the National Agrarian University of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The topic was "Status and Prospects of Introducing Tree Species into Forest Plantations in the Southern Part of the Left-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine" (specialty 06.03.01 – forest cultures, selection, seed production).
- Academic title. He holds the position of Senior Researcher in the field of Forestry (diploma AS № 000561 dated September 27, 2021).
- Work experience in scientific and scientific-pedagogical institutions is 20 years.
- Scientific and scientific-pedagogical activity:
- From April 1993 to December 1993 – engineer at the Laboratory of Selection, Seed Production, and Introduction of the Ukrainian Order of "Sign of Honor" Research Institute of Forestry and Agroforestry named after G. M. Vysotsky (UkrNDILGA);
- From December 1993 to December 1996 – postgraduate student at the Laboratory of Selection, Seed Production, and Introduction of UkrNDILGA;
- From December 1996 to January 1999 – junior research associate at the Laboratory of Selection, Seed Production, and Introduction of UkrNDILGA;
- From March 2004 to June 2010 – worked as an associate professor at the Department of Forest Cultures and Melioration of V.V. Dokuchaev Kharkiv National Agrarian University.
- From September 2014 to May 2016 – associate professor at the Department of Urban and Regional Systems of O.M. Beketov Kharkiv National University of Municipal Economy.
- From May 2016 to February 2020 – associate professor at the Department of Forestry and Landscape Gardening of O.M. Beketov Kharkiv National University of Municipal Economy.
- From April 2015 to June 2016 – associate professor at the Department of Landscape Gardening of V.V. Dokuchaev Kharkiv National Agrarian University (part-time).
- From February 2020, he was appointed as a senior research associate at the Forestry Laboratory of UkrNDILGA.
- From January 2022 to the present, he has been working as the head of the Forestry and Forest Management Economics Department of UkrNDILGA.
- Professional experience: from 1999 to 2014, he held managerial positions at the Kharkiv Regional Forestry Management.
- Participation in scientific and technical programs and work in scientific-methodical and technical councils. He was involved in research projects on topics such as improving logging methods in flat forests of Ukraine, developing a strategy for adapting Ukrainian forests and forestry to climate change, and enhancing the system of logging in Ukrainian forests based on close-to-nature forestry principles.
- Main educational courses: forest cultures, forest restoration and afforestation, introduction and adaptation of decorative plants, forest selection, plantation forestry, forest climatology, maintenance of garden and park objects.
- Research direction: growth dynamics, formation of artificial and natural recreational-therapeutic forests, the impact of forestry measures on the condition and growth of tree stands.
- Qualification improvement (internships): application of the Field-Map software measurement complex (field GIS), Navigation and Geodetic Center (certificate dated April 13, 2018); course "Theory and Practice of Working in Moodle" (certificate dated December 15, 2015).
